Narutaki Shuzo in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture was established as a joint venture in 1974, led by Taiko Shuzo whose sake-brewing lineage dates to 1705. The brewery is situated near a spring historically frequented by Toyotomi Hideyoshi for tea ceremonies, and uses soft water and high-quality Saga rice to produce sake that is soft, smooth, and mellow.
