Founded in 1882 in Mashike-cho on Hokkaido's northwestern coast, Kunimare Sake Brewery holds the distinction of being Japan's northernmost sake producer. Soft, ultra-clean snowmelt water from the Sho-kanbetsu mountain range and a brewing tradition rooted in the Nanbu toji lineage underpin the brewery's core Kunimare label, which has been consumed almost entirely within Hokkaido across its history.
