Tsuchiya Shuzoten was founded in 1900 in Saku, Nagano Prefecture, and the Kamenoumi brand pursues what the brewery describes as the truth of local sake. Their flagship range is crafted through traditional speed fermentation, emphasizing harmony between aroma and taste. The Akanesasu series uses rice grown without pesticides in Saku's Goro-bee Shinden fields, continuing since 2000.
