Hououseitoku

Seitoku Meijo Co., Ltd. was established in 1959 in Kanra, Gunma Prefecture, as a joint venture combining four local breweries whose pooled expertise would allow a higher standard than any could achieve alone. The brand name Seitoku (聖徳) honors the spirit of Prince Shotoku's teaching to cherish the harmony among people, and the brewery has pursued sake loved by everyone rather than highly individual expressions. Seventeen Gold Prize wins at the Annual Japan Sake Awards reflect the consistent quality of this collaborative approach.
