Akitonbo

byIzumibashi Shuzo·Kanagawa

Izumibashi Sake Brewery was founded in 1857 in Ebina, Kanagawa Prefecture, and operates as a rare grower-brewer that cultivates its own rice, mills it on-site, and brews all sake under one roof. The Akitonbo label takes its name from the red dragonflies that drift over the brewery's rice paddies each autumn, a seasonal symbol of the community that Izumibashi honors through its commitment to preserving both the land and the craft.
