Honjozo from Himonoya Shuzoten in Nihonmatsu, Fukushima, sold under the Hyotan (gourd) label, a name tied to the Nihonmatsu domain's connection to Toyotomi Hideyoshi's gourd battle standard. The brewery, founded in 1874, uses spring water from Mount Adatara and presses using the traditional fune (trough) method.
