Honjozo Soringenshu

🍶
Description

Named for the Christian warlord Otomo Sorin who ruled Usuki domain in the Sengoku period, this honjozo genshu from Kotegawa Shuzo is brewed in Usuki, Oita, in a brewery founded in 1855. Polished to 65% and bottled at full undiluted strength with an alcohol content of around 19%, it carries a sweet, toffee-like concentration reminiscent of a fine aged spirit, best enjoyed on the rocks or gently warmed in the hand.
