Named after Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko, the target of the European Space Agency's Rosetta mission, this Char series junmai namagenshu from Endo Shuzojo in Suzaka, Nagano, is aged under snow (secchuchozo), using Nagano's harsh winters to create a pristine natural cold-storage environment. Bottled unpasteurized and undiluted, it carries the quiet intensity of a comet glimpsed once and never forgotten.
