Josen Honjozo Hisagotaiko is brewed by Nisshinshurui in Naka Town, Tokushima, using Yamada Nishiki from the Yoshino River basin, considered a regional branded brewing rice. The brewery has been producing sake at this location since 1857, using locally sourced Yoshino River aquifer water.
