Asamanishiki is the signature everyday sake from Asama Shuzo in Naganohara, Gunma Prefecture, brewed at 600 meters elevation near the active volcano Mt. Asama using soft mountain water. The brewery, founded in 1872, has earned 18 gold medals at Japan's National New Sake Appraisal through its Asama Toji master brewers.
