La région de Tojo à Hyogo peut être divisée en trois zones du sud au nord : Shimo-Tojo, Naka-Tojo et Kami-Tojo. Parmi celles-ci, Kami-Tojo est une zone particulièrement adaptée à la culture du Yamada Nishiki, utilisée depuis les origines. Ce sake ultra-premium est brassé exclusivement à partir du riz Yamada Nishiki spécial de la zone de Kami-Tojo.
