Ohyama Tokubetsu Junmai est un cran au-dessus du junmai standard de la Kato Kahachiro Shuzo, brassé à Yamagata avec un taux de polissage plus élevé ou une variété de riz spécialement sélectionnée pour mériter la désignation tokubetsu. Le brassage au riz pur délivre un corps plein avec des saveurs propres et sèches et la clarté caractéristique de Yamagata. Il se situe confortablement entre le junmai quotidien et le niveau ginjo plus raffiné.
