Yamada Nishiki, auf 35% poliert, macht diesen sake zum Flaggschiff-Daiginjo der Kariho-Linie, benannt nach Makino, dem historischen Lehmkeller der Brauerei in Akita. Gebraut mit mittelhartem Quellwasser des Omono-Flusses und nach der traditionellen sakafune-Pressmethode, gewann er Silber bei der U.S. National Sake Appraisal 2018 und Gold beim Kura Master 2018.
