1939
The company was renamed Toyonoume Shuzo Co., Ltd. (Showa 14).
1952
Hisakichi Takagi became president as the 3rd generation head (Showa 27, November), rebuilding the brewery and creating the "Rakuo Toyonoume" sake still sold as a regular product today.
1959
The brewery's 3rd generation head launched the first Dorome Festival as the Akaoka Town industrial festival (Showa 34, November 15), pairing local sardines with the brewery's sake.
1974
The brewery began selling "Orizake" (Showa 49, September 16), an early-harvest nigori sake that grew into one of its signature products.

Kuniichi Arisawa, known as the last Tosa toji (master brewer), joined the brewery as toji (Heisei 5).
2019
Ippo Takagi, the 6th generation, became toji (master brewer) (Reiwa 1), and in his first year won the top Platinum award at the 2020 London Sake Challenge.
