Gegründet 1867 (Keio 3). Die Brauerei befindet sich in Kawashima-cho, Yokkaichi, am Fuß des Suzuyama-Gebirges in der Präfektur Mie. Das Klima ist günstig und das Brauwasser sprudelt noch natürlich. 'Mie no Sanme' verwendet 100% Yamada Nishiki, den Paradereis für sake, und setzt auf lokale Produktion für den lokalen Verbrauch.   1. 1867Hikozaemon Suzuki founded the sake brewery under the name "Suzuki Shuzojo", producing "Maruhiko Masamune".
  2. 1928Incorporated as Maruhiko Shuzo Gomei Kaisha.
  3. 1992The old sake grading system was abolished, and "special designation" categories (ginjo, junmai, honjozo, etc.) were introduced in place of the former grading.
  4. 19946th-generation head Tetsuo Suzuki began producing and selling "Mie no Kanbai".
  5. 2003The current toji (then 26 years old) joined the brewery and began his training.
  6. 2005After completing his training, he began brewing as toji.
  7. 2006"Mie no Kanbai" won a gold award at the National New Sake Fair for the first time in 50 years.
  8. 2020"Junmai Ginjo Mie no Kanbai Karakuchi" won gold at the 2020 National Kanzake Contest, and "Mie no Kanbai Daiginjo Gensui" won the Platinum award in the Daiginjo category of the SAKE-China sake competition.
