1849Founded in 1849 (Kaei 2) in Yamanashi City, Yamanashi Prefecture. A long-established brewery dating to the Edo period, now run by its 6th-generation master brewer, using famed water from the Fuefuki River and rice grown in Yamanashi Prefecture, brewed in a kura that is roughly 200 years old.
