Taiheiyo is crafted by Ozaki Shuzo in Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture, the only sake brewery in the Kumano Sanzan sacred site area, and its name expresses the hope that drinkers will enjoy sake with the open, broad spirit of the Pacific Ocean that meets the Kii Peninsula. The brewery uses high-quality underground water from the Kumano River basin and practices traditional winter cold brewing by hand. Taiheiyo has earned recognition including the Kura Master Platinum Award.
