Minchou Shuho Co., Ltd. was established in 1790 in Usa City, Oita Prefecture, making it one of the oldest continuously operating breweries in Kyushu. The brewery holds a longstanding connection with Usa Jingu Shrine, the headquarters of the Hachimangu shrine network in Japan, and supplies ceremonial sake for the shrine's rituals.
