Kuromatsu Hakushika is produced by Tatsuuma-Honke Brewing Company, one of the great breweries of the Nada region of Hyogo Prefecture, founded in 1662. The brand was first marketed nationwide in the late 1920s as the brewery's finest expression, with glass-bottled products marking an early embrace of modern distribution. Nada's famous miyamizu water, rich in minerals that promote vigorous fermentation and naturally low in iron, remains the foundation of the brand's characteristically smooth and well-balanced flavor.
