Kisonokakehashi

Nishio Shuzo has been brewing sake in the Nakasendo post town of Suhara-juku in the Kiso region of Nagano Prefecture for over 300 years since the Edo period. Kisonokakehashi, meaning bridge of Kiso, reflects the brewery's connection to this mountainous corridor that once linked Edo with Kyoto, with local Nagano rice and Kiso regional water forming the foundation of every expression. The lineup ranges from a rounded honjozo designed for warm-service enjoyment to a special junmai with refreshing dry character, both capturing the clean, understated style of the Kiso highlands.
