Goto Shuzojo in Kurogi-cho, Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture has brewed sake since 1677, making it one of the oldest and most storied breweries in Kyushu. The Kinran Fuji brand remains a rare local treasure sold almost exclusively within Yame City, produced in small quantities with locally grown Yamada Nishiki rice from Fukuoka Prefecture.
