Tokubetsu honjozo produzido com arroz comum polido a 60%, com nome inspirado na região produtora de cártamo ao redor de Kahoku-cho, Yamagata, onde a cervejaria funciona desde 1797. A água de nascente do Monte Gassan e a abordagem da cervejaria voltada para a limpeza resultam em um sake seco e bem equilibrado, com final nítido e persistente.
