Description

A namacho-zozo (fresh-stored) honjozo from Shoki Shuzo in Shiojiri, Nagano, using Miyama Nishiki rice polished to 70%, brewed by solo artisan brewer Takayuki Morikawa in a small, hand-crafted kura surrounded by the Northern and Central Alps. Released as a seasonal summer offering, it is best served well chilled and delivers a light, clean body at 14% ABV suited for warm-weather drinking.

Founded in 1883 in Meiji 16 at the Shiojiri -juku site. We examine the raw materials only for Miyama Nishiki in the prefecture, mainly in the local Shiojiri Miyama Nishiki, and continue to make sake that makes use of the flavor of rice.
