Made with Benisashi plums from Fukui and rock sugar steeped in 2006-vintage aged sake, this koshu umeshu carries the characteristic mellow roundness of the Gifu storehouse koshu style. The vintage year of the base sake is preserved in the product label, allowing the aging trajectory to be traced alongside the plum fruit.
