1898
Founded by first-generation Yakutaro Morinaga, initially producing shochu distilled from sake lees.
1920
Relocated to the current site in search of abundant, high-quality water.
1952
Morinaga Shuzo Co., Ltd. was established.
1992
Renamed to Mori no Kura Co., Ltd.
2005
Converted all sake production to junmai (no added alcohol), becoming the first all-junmai sake brewery in Kyushu.
