양조장 소개
교호 8년(1723년)에 창업하였으며, 다이쇼 시대부터 본격적으로 사케 양조에 주력하여 1947년 전국 사케 감평회에서 최고상을 수상했습니다. 현재 대표는 11대째 이와세 노와입니다. 창고에서 차로 약 10분 거리에 '달의 사막'이라 불리는 해안이 펼쳐지며, 창고의 지하수는 조개층을 통과하여 경도가 높습니다. 칼슘과 마그네슘이 풍부한 경수로 '야마하이 준비'를 사용해 빚음으로써, 이와노이 특유의 쌀 풍미를 살린 진하고 산미 있는 술을 만들어 내고 있습니다.

The mast of the Spanish galleon San Francisco, wrecked off the coast of Onjuku in 1609, was later used as a beam in the brewery's thatched-roof main building.
1723
Iwase Sake Brewing is said to have been founded in 1723 (Kyoho 8), passed down through generations initially as a side business of the family head.
1930
The brewery began brewing Ginjo-shu sake in 1930 (Showa 5), going on to win numerous awards in the years that followed.
1947
In 1947 (Showa 22), Iwanoi won the top prize (Shuseki) at the National Sake Competition (Zenkoku Seishu Kanpyokai).
2016
In 2016, IWANOI was distinguished as one of Japan's prestigious top-rated sakes by world-renowned wine critic Robert Parker.
