Daijukyudai Magozaemon (19e génération Magozaemon) tire son nom du chef actuel de la lignée familiale fondatrice de Goi Shuzoten à Kakunodate, Akita, la célèbre ville du quartier des samouraïs. Le riz Menkoina, une variété développée à Akita, et l'eau de montagne pure des hauts plateaux de Senboku à Kakunodate définissent le caractère propre et ancré localement de ce saké.
