Tsugarumusume se elabora con arroz sake Haasoi (Hana Omoi) y agua del sistema montañoso del Sur de Hakkoda en Nakamurakamekichi, en Kuroishi, Aomori. Pulido al 40 %, este sake de clase junmai ginjo se fermenta en frío para producir un carácter rico pero seco, moldeado por la tradición de los toji de Tsugaru.
