The Yamanaka family, an Omi merchant, set up in Yokosuka in search of a rich and high -quality underground water. Kuramoto himself performs Japanese kama steamed, lid koji, fluffy squeezing and old -fashioned sake brewing.

History

1818
Omi merchant Yamanaka Shokichi began sake brewing in Fujinomiya during the Bunsei era (1818-1830), later establishing four breweries around the Fuji area.
1929
Hyoji, the second son of Yamanaka Shokichi, branched off and founded Yamanaka Shuzo Goshigaisha in Yokosuka (present-day Kakegawa City).
1986
Second-generation Takashi Yamanaka began brewing the Aoitenka brand.
1986
Aoitenka received its first gold award at the National New Sake Appraisal.
1999
The brewery began having the brewery owner personally handle brewing, rather than relying on a toji or brewery workers.
2020
Hisanori Yamanaka, the third son, became representative partner.
2021
The company reorganized as a stock corporation and joined the Hamatomo Group, renaming itself Enshu Yamanaka Sake Brewery Co., Ltd.
