From the brewery
Founded in the first year of Kansei (1789). Blessed with the rich underwater water of the Ou Mountains, it has been located in Kami -cho, Kami -gun, which is famous for the sake of Miyagi for a long time. Using high -quality rice and water, we have inherited traditional methods (mountain abandoned and raw sashimi) for over 200 years. Aiming for a handmade sake quality, such as koji making with a koji lid, steamed rice in Koshiki, is pursued by a company that is trusted by the region, a beloved company.

Founded in Kami, Miyagi Prefecture, by first-generation Tanaka Rinbei, a leading kimono merchant of the Date domain.
2009
Revived kimoto-method junmai sake brewing after a 67-year hiatus.
2010
"Manatsuru Kimoto Tokubetsu Junmai" won the Nakagawa Toji Award for Excellent Craftsmanship.
2013
"Manatsuru Honjozo" won gold in the Superb Kanzake category at the 5th Slow Food Japan Kanzake Contest 2013.
2016
"Manatsuru Honjozo" won the top gold award in the Value Atsukan category at the National Kanzake Contest 2016.
