From the brewery
We have been making quality -based sake brewing for a long time, such as remodeling into construction and improving sake quality, in 1977, including low -temperature storage in a wooden mortar refrigerator, and stabilizing sake quality throughout the year.
Since 1999, the brewery has served as a brewery, and has been working hard to make a cup of more and more delicious drinks.

History
明和年間(1764〜1771年)
Founded, according to tradition, during the Meiwa era (1764-1771).
1893
In Meiji 26, the head family went bankrupt; the first-generation Katayama Sadaemon took over the brewery, now in its 5th generation.
1909
The brand name 'Kansai' was trademark-registered in Meiji 42, named after the prestigious Nada/Fushimi brewing region to signify a top brewery of Echizen.
1921
In Taisho 10, the koji room was rebuilt in stone to improve sake quality.
1930
In Showa 5, low-temperature storage began using a reinforced-concrete cold storage building.
1953
The company was incorporated on October 20, Showa 28 (1953).
1999
Starting in Heisei 11, the brewery stopped using seasonal outside toji and the brewery owner himself began serving as toji.
2010
In Heisei 22, a new, more compact brewing house sized to current production volume was built.
