Akebono Shuzo, established in 1904 in the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture, is a brewery that has served its local community for over a century, operating under three main brands including the Snowdrop line. Snowdrop is a sake-based yogurt liqueur made with local Aizu ingredients, developed to offer an approachable entry point into sake culture for those unfamiliar with traditional nihonshu. The brewery also produces the Tenmei brand of conventional sake alongside Snowdrop's flavored expressions, including blueberry and Takada plum varieties.
