Sake Brand
Mannengame
Mannengame is produced by Mannengame Shuzo, founded in 1892 in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, in a district once so prolific in sake brewing it was called Kyushu's Nada. The brewery occupies a unique position in Japan as the only genmai (brown rice) sake producer in western Japan, operating on the philosophy that sake originated as a nutritional drink and that unpolished rice contains an irreplaceable vitality. Its flagship expression uses 100% brown rice pressed by hand using natural water from the Kusu spring system, earning a gold award at the National New Sake Competition in 1997.
