Isonosawa (Isokichi) was founded in 1893 in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and takes its brand name from the brewery's founders: father Isokichi and mother Sawa. The brewery draws from its own private well, recognized as one of Japan's 100 best water sources, and produces sake centered on the philosophy of the refined joy of enjoying sake. Isonosawa is also noted as the world's first sake-centered accommodation, with a renovated traditional building offering overnight stays alongside unlimited sake sampling.
