This is a preserved gold-award-winning daiginjo from Maruichi Shuzo's Hoshiizumi label, produced in the Heisei 12 year (2000) competition vintage. Maruichi Shuzo's consecutive national gold-award record is among the most distinguished in Aichi Prefecture, and this bottle represents an early benchmark in that winning streak. Aged over time since its competition year, it offers a layered, evolved complexity alongside the refined floral and silky character of the original daiginjo expression.
