Description
Machida Shuzo, founded in 1883 in Gunma Prefecture and now led by the fifth generation, draws ultra-soft water fed by the Tone River: an ideal foundation for clean, precise sake. Seven Gold Medals at the National New Sake Competition reflect a consistent standard of craft. The Dairokkan, meaning Sixth Sense, is a limited-edition collaboration with retailer Sakashoyamada that pushes beyond the brewery's conventional boundaries through experimental rice and yeast pairings. Type A is expressive and layered, with rich umami, a firm structure, and a finish that lingers and shifts in a way that keeps seasoned enthusiasts reaching for another pour.
