Takachiyo Shuzo was founded in 1868 in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata, and operates under the philosophy of 'Brewing Happiness,' a principle that has driven an unusually forward-thinking product range for a historic kura. The Seven Origarami Muchosei Namagenshu sits in the brewery's experimental lineup, where origarami refers to pressing the sake and briefly returning it to tank so that fine rice solids (ori) remain suspended, producing a hazy, textured pour. As a namagenshu, it is both unpasteurized and undiluted, so it reaches the glass at full fermentation strength with all the volatile aromatics intact. Takachiyo's lines have gained international attention for pairing Niigata's cold-fermentation precision with modern, fruit-forward flavor profiles.
