Origami Thousand Cranes
Description

Founded in 2023 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Origami Sake is the state's first sake brewery and the largest domestically owned sake producer in the United States, operating in a region that grows approximately half of all American rice. Yamadanishiki cultivated by Arkansas farmers is brewed with water drawn from an on-site well tapping the Ouachita Mountain aquifer, applying traditional Japanese techniques to genuinely American ingredients. The Thousand Cranes junmai delivers ripe cantaloupe, honeydew, and fresh pear, with a delicate umami backbone and a refreshing cucumber-like lift on the finish. Silver medal, USA Wine Ratings 2024: a sake that takes American terroir seriously.

The color is clear with a slight hint of yellow. It has a fruity and smooth taste, making it easy to drink, and the aftertaste brings out a rich flavor of rice. When the aroma wafts through the nose, it’s distinctly aromatic, with a subtle hint of nuttiness. The quality is on par with high-grade Japanese sake.
