Tokubetsu honjozo elaborado con arroz común pulido al 60%, nombrado en honor a la región de cultivo del cártamo alrededor de Kahoku-cho, Yamagata, donde la destilería ha operado desde 1797. El agua de manantial suave de Gassan y el enfoque limpio de la destilería producen un sake seco y bien equilibrado con un final nítido y persistente.
