Elaborado en una bodega de Fukui fundada en 1904, este honjozo se produce con el agua subterránea suave de Echizen y sigue el proceso tradicional en tres etapas: un koji, dos moto, tres elaboraciones. La bodega extrae su agua de los acuíferos alimentados por el deshielo de la cordillera Hakusan.
