Benannt nach dem Kap Kyogamisaki an der nördlichen Spitze der Halbinsel Kyotango, wird dieser sake von einer der wenigen Brauereien hergestellt, die in dieser Küstenregion Nordkyotos noch toji-geführte Produktion aufrechterhalten. Die Brauerei verwendet Quellwasser aus dem eigenen Gelände.
