Moriya Shuzo Co., Ltd

Moriya Shuzo was founded in 1893 (Meiji 26) in the center of the Kujukuri area of Chiba Prefecture.

Since 1916 (Taisho 5), the brewery has produced its brewery-distilled junmai shochu 'Shusei'.

Launched Junmai Daiginjo 'Shidarezakura', developed jointly with a department store to showcase the finest Chiba-grown rice.

To mark its 100th anniversary, the brewery began selling 'Hyakunen no Shizuku', an unpasteurized, undiluted sake.

In 2023, revived heirloom 'Shinriki' rice seed stock preserved at a research institute was cultivated and used to commercialize the kimoto-brewed 'Maizakura Junmai Kimoto'.
