History
1868
Founded in 1868 (Meiji 1) by Etsuzo Komatsu.
1988
Production suspended in 1988 (Showa 63); the company continued as a sake brewer via contract brewing.
2008
Production resumed in 2008 (Heisei 20) when 6th-generation Junpei Komatsu returned home; on the morning of November 28, steam rose from steaming rice at the brewery for the first time in 20 years.
2018
In 2018 (Heisei 30), the brewery marked its 150th anniversary and the Hojun brand's 10th anniversary.
