A brewery that brews the famous sake "Taiheiyama" derived from the famous peaks of Akita. Akita Ryuo is known as the origin of the birthplace. Kodama Brewery Corporation started in 1879 in 1879, when the founder Kume Nosuke brewed soy sauce and miso. Later, in 1907, the business form was reorganized into a company organization. The company entered the sake brewing business (Taisho 2) and launched the 'Taiheizan' sake brand, named after a prominent local mountain near the brewery.
1933
In Showa 8, the brewery released 'Reiro Taiheizan,' said to be Japan's first sake marketed specifically for chilled drinking.
1934
In Showa 9, Taiheizan placed first among 5,169 entries at the National Sake Fair (Zenkoku Shurui Hinpyokai).
1993
In Heisei 5, Taiheizan won gold medals across multiple sake competitions including the National New Sake Awards, achieving a 'triple crown' at the national, Tohoku regional, and Akita prefectural levels.
