Sake Brand
Minatoyatosuke
Minatoyatosuke is named after Tosuke Minatoya, who founded Shirataki Sake Brewery in 1855 in Echigo Yuzawa, Niigata Prefecture, welcoming travelers crossing between Tokyo and the Sea of Japan with locally brewed sake. Up to 15 meters of annual snowfall slowly filters through the earth over 40 to 50 years before emerging as the mineral-rich groundwater used in the brewery, and the Minatoyatosuke label is crafted to honor that heritage with deep, traditional flavor for a modern age.
