Buko se produce en Chichibu, prefectura de Saitama, donde el agua de elaboración se extrae del acuífero bajo el monte Buko, una fuente seleccionada para la lista nacional Heisei Meisui Hyakunsen. El agua de dureza media aporta un carácter limpio y ligeramente firme, típico del estilo de la casa de Chichibu.
