Kawabeshuzou, formed in 1943 through the consolidation of five sake breweries, named its sake Hanagoromo, meaning flower robe, with the aspiration that it would become the king of flowers in the sake world, as beloved as cherry blossoms along the Inagawa River. The brewery uses Yamada Nishiki rice and traditional Tajima master brewers to handcraft its sake, preserving regional brewing techniques within a cooperative structure built for resilience.
