Choro is the sake brand of Choro Shuzo, a brewery founded in 1903 in Kyotamba, Kyoto Prefecture, committed to an entirely local philosophy: rice, water, and toji all sourced from Kyotamba. Using traditional hand-crafted methods passed down since founding, the brewery produces a dry, clean-finishing sake with a mellow texture, centered on Kyoto-grown varieties and the pure mountain waters of the Tamba highlands.
