Tucked away beneath a quiet residential street in Nishiazabu, Sushi Kazuki feels like one of Tokyo's best-kept secrets. With only seven counter seats, every guest enjoys a close view of the chef's precise movements and thoughtful hospitality. The atmosphere is refined yet welcoming, making it easy to relax whether you're a seasoned sushi enthusiast or experiencing an Edomae omakase for the first time. The intimate setting allows each course to unfold at a comfortable pace, creating a memorable dining experience.

The Course
I chose the Lunch Omakase Course (¥8,800 including tax), an exceptional value considering the quality of the ingredients and craftsmanship. Seasonal seafood was presented with restraint, allowing the natural flavors to shine. Each piece of nigiri showcased the careful balance between fish and shari, while the appetizers added variety throughout the meal. Rather than focusing on extravagance, the course celebrated seasonality and traditional Edomae techniques with elegance and precision.
















Sake Highlights
To accompany the meal, I enjoyed Tanaka Rokujugo Junmai from Fukuoka and Ubusuna Homase Nama from Kumamoto. Tanaka Rokujugo offered gentle rice sweetness and refreshing acidity that paired beautifully with delicate seafood. Ubusuna Homase Nama provided vibrant freshness and layered complexity, complementing richer flavors later in the course. Both selections demonstrated how regional sake can elevate every bite without overpowering the subtle character of the sushi.
