De la brasserie

À Maezawa, dans la ville d'Oshu, préfecture d'Iwate, plusieurs brasseries de sake actives depuis l'ère Meiji ont fusionné en 1958. Depuis 1993, la brasserie travaille en culture sous contrat avec des agriculteurs locaux pour la variété de riz 'Kame no o', et depuis 2017, la totalité de la production utilise du riz du sud d'Iwate, avec des appellations spécifiques exclusivement. Oshu-shi Maezawa est également réputée pour ses produits de haute qualité comme le bœuf de Maezawa. La brasserie ne se contente pas de produire un sake à partir du riz et de l'eau locaux, elle explore aussi les accords entre les sakes et les ingrédients locaux, cherchant l'harmonie parfaite entre la cuisine et le sake.

Sake production began; the brand 'Mutsu no Tomo' was born.
1955年(昭和30年)
Oikawa Shuzoten and Yoshida Shuzoten of former Maesawa Town jointly founded Iwate Meijo Co., Ltd.; the brand 'Iwatehomare' was born.
2005年(平成17年)
Opened the Tamanoharu plant and Senmaya sales office in Senmaya, Ichinoseki City, and began brewing and selling 'Tamanoharu'.
2008年(平成20年)
Acquired business rights from Tenpyo Co., Ltd. and began brewing and selling 'Tenpyo'.
2017年(平成29年)
Began overseas exports and launched the export-focused brand 'Oshu no Ryu'.
2023年(令和5年)
Launched 'Okuroku', a brand exclusive to authorized retailers.
